THE PROGRAM
The integration programme supports people with a migrant background in achieving equal and self-determined participation in society.
This includes:
- Being able to communicate in everyday life
- Knowing and understanding the rights, obligations, and values of Belgian society
- Facilitating job searches and training
- Participating in social life in East Belgium
As a reference centre, Info-Integration supports participants throughout the integration program in East Belgium — from registration to course completion and beyond, if needed.
The legal framework of the integration program in the German-speaking Community is the Decree of December 11, 2017, on Integration and Living Together in Diversity.

The Integration Program Roadmap
—
1. Registration & Counselling
During the first interview, participants' personal situations are recorded confidentially. An individual agreement for the integration program is then created. By signing this agreement, participants commit to completing the program.
Info-Integration provides information on education, employment, sports, culture, and leisure or volunteer activities. Additionally, depending on participants’ interests and skills, we can refer them to appropriate placement services.
2. Assessment Test & Language Course
An assessment test identifies the required level of the language course. The goal is to reach A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Attendance of at least 80% is mandatory.
3. Integration course
The 60-hour integration course covers rights, responsibilities, the education and tax systems, and practical topics such as waste sorting. It prepares participants to navigate everyday life independently.Courses are offered in multiple languages.
4. Certificate
A certificate of completion is issued once participants have either reached language level A2 or attended at least 80% of the courses and participated in counselling sessions.
